Name: Jane Miller Age: 60 Sex: F Profession: Teacher Location: Affiliations: Disposition: Monotone, disinterested
Character Background and Description
Jane Miller, daughter of Daniel and Harriet Miller is the mathematics teacher at Half-Moon Bay High-school. She is an only child, and is married with no children of her own. She graduated from San Diego High School in the 1930's, and went on to Princeton to study theoretical mathematics. After receiving her masters in education, Jane went on to teach in high schools and universities across the US, only feeling comfortable with staying in a school for about 3 years before moving somewhere else. She eventually settled in Half-Moon Bay when she met her future husband, Carl Miller. They have now been married for 25 years.
Although Jane was not born in Half-Moon Bay, she has become familiar with the local lore through Carl, who has lived in the area for most of his life. While she may have initially found the area enchanting and its mysteries wonderful, she has since grown accustomed, even annoyed, by some of them.
